Sabah route brief

One direction, two destination decisions.

Start at the actual terminal and finish at the port that matches your collection plan. The vessel window comes after those two choices—not before.

What the handover really involves

Three scenes customers should understand before booking.

FIELD NOTES
Condition evidence
01

Condition evidence

The vehicle is photographed and its visible condition recorded before terminal acceptance.

Motorcycle handling
02

Motorcycle handling

Motorcycles need their own acceptance and securing arrangement; they are not treated as a small car.

Optional land movement
03

Optional land movement

A tow or final-mile leg is separate from sea freight and must be confirmed as its own scope.

Public planning reference

See the starting point before asking for the final figure.

Published rates help compare vehicle classes. Terminal, dimensions, sailing slot and handling can still change the confirmed quotation.

Prepare the right evidence

Your document set follows ownership—not a copied checklist.

01Owner-operated vehicle+

Identity and vehicle registration details are checked against the person handing over.

02Representative handover+

Prepare authorization when someone else brings the vehicle to the terminal.

03Financed vehicle+

Confirm whether the lender requires consent before the vehicle moves across the sea.

04Modified or non-running unit+

Declare steering, braking, tyre, leak, height and mobility issues before a slot is discussed.

Sailing board

Use published sailings as a window, not a promise.

The board separates verified vessel information from fields the carrier has not published. Vehicle cutoff remains unconfirmed until the operator confirms it.

Before the first message

Short answers to the questions that change the plan.

01Is RORO always available to Sabah?+

No. Method and availability depend on the port, vessel, vehicle condition and live booking window.

02Can personal items stay inside the car?+

Do not assume they are accepted. Ask for the applicable terminal and carrier policy before handover.

03Is towing included in the sea freight rate?+

No. Terminal-to-terminal movement and any road leg are separate unless both are expressly confirmed.

04When is the vehicle cutoff?+

The published carrier schedules currently do not state a vehicle acceptance cutoff. It must be confirmed for the selected sailing.
